Mend Dental wants every patient and visitor to be able to use this website comfortably, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion.

Our commitment

Our target for pages we control on mend.dental is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is a technical accessibility standard we work toward through design, development, and testing. This page is not a legal certification, an ADA lawsuit waiver, or a claim that every third-party tool we link to is certified.

What we have implemented

On the pages we build and maintain, recent work includes:

• Color contrast. Gold CTAs use #ffab2e with dark text. Amber accents (#8f5f0a) are used where they meet AA on light backgrounds. On dark cards (for example the homepage “New patients” eyebrow on #3d3730), we use accent gold #ffab2e (about 6.2:1 on that background) rather than amber ink that fails.
• Skip link and landmark. A “Skip to content” link and a main landmark help keyboard and assistive-tech users reach primary content quickly.
• Keyboard-usable controls. Menus, carousels, and interactive controls are intended to work with the keyboard, with visible focus styles.
• FAQ disclosure. FAQ buttons expose state with aria-expanded and aria-controls.
• Media and decoration. Decorative SVGs and similar chrome are marked so they are not announced as meaningful content; meaningful images keep descriptive text.
• Editor-only chrome. Image-slot editing controls used in our authoring tools are not focusable on the public site.
• Reduced motion. We respect prefers-reduced-motion so animation is toned down when you ask the OS to reduce motion.
• Labeled mobile menu. The mobile menu control has an accessible name.
• Map embeds. Map iframes include titles that describe their purpose.
• Touch targets. Small controls such as the homepage reviews carousel dots use a larger hit area (about 44×44px) while keeping the visual indicator compact.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We continue automated checks (including Lighthouse-style audits) and manual review on mobile and desktop, and we fix issues as we find them when we ship new pages or content.

Third-party tools and limits

Some important flows live on other companies’ sites. Online booking opens in Modento’s booking system (a third-party product). Maps and similar embeds are also outside our full control. We label those links and embeds clearly, but we cannot guarantee that every third-party interface meets WCAG 2.1 AA. If a third-party step is a barrier, contact us and we will help you book or get the information another way.
