How family scheduling works

Three cleanings. One drive down Michelson.

Tell us who is coming and we block the time together: back-to-back with Frank, or side by side in two rooms. Early Tuesday to Thursday slots get everyone done before school and work.

  • One phone call. Book everyone at once, and reschedule everyone at once.
  • Same day, same hour. Back-to-back or side by side, depending on what each person needs.
  • One set of records. Insurance for every family member verified before you arrive.
  • Reminders that make sense. Texts go to the parent for teens, and to each adult for themselves.
  • Gelato for all ages. The Solato machine does not check ID.

We are on Michelson Drive, a few minutes from UCI, University High and the 405, with free parking in our lot. Families come to us from Irvine, University Park, Turtle Rock, Woodbridge, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.

We accept most PPO plans and verify each family member's benefits before the visit. Households without dental insurance can ask about our membership plan, which covers cleanings and exams for one flat annual fee.

Family questions, answered.

Teens and adults, including high school and college students. We do not typically treat young children and are happy to recommend a trusted pediatric dentist for them.

Yes. Tell us who is coming and we will schedule back-to-back or side-by-side so one trip covers everyone. Early mornings on Tuesday through Thursday are popular for this.

Yes. Cleanings, fillings, sports mouthguards, sealants and Invisalign are all common for our teen patients. We speak to them directly and explain what we find.

Tell us. Netflix on the ceiling, blankets, Bose Frames and a gentle approach to numbing help most people. Nitrous is available if you would like it.

Absolutely. We see many multi-generation families. When gum or implant care is needed, our periodontist, Dr. Shah, sees patients here at mend on an as-needed basis, so there is no referral across town.

We accept most PPO plans including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, UnitedHealthcare and Humana, and verify each family member before the visit. No insurance? Ask about our membership plan.
