Patient holding a clear aligner up to the light

Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners to move your teeth a little at a time. No wires, no brackets, and nothing anyone has to notice. Each tray is worn for about one to two weeks before you move to the next.

Step one: a scan, not goop

Every Invisalign case at mend starts with a comprehensive exam and an iTero 3D scan. No impression trays, no gagging. In a few minutes we have a digital model of your teeth, and you can watch a simulation of where they'd end up.

Step two: a plan you approve

I map out the movements with Invisalign's software, then we review it together. You'll see how many trays it takes, roughly how long, and what the end result looks like, before you commit to anything.

Step three: your trays, and your life

Trays arrive in a few weeks. You wear each set 20 to 22 hours a day, take them out to eat and brush, and switch to the next set on schedule. Check-ins are short and spaced out, and I'll often send you home with several sets so travel and busy weeks don't slow you down.

Who Invisalign is right for

It works well for mild to moderate crowding, gaps between teeth, many overbites, underbites and crossbites, and teeth that have drifted after braces years ago. If your case needs something more, I'll tell you at the consultation.

What it costs

You'll get a written estimate before we start, with what your plan is expected to cover and flexible financing if you want it. Ask about our current new-patient Invisalign offer when you book.

Straighter teeth, without announcing it.

Invisalign is a cosmetic decision, but it's also a long-term investment in how your teeth work and how easy they are to keep clean. If you've been thinking about it, a free consultation is the easiest way to find out where you stand. Details on our Invisalign page.

Quick answers

Most cases take 6 to 18 months. Your scan gives us a realistic estimate before you begin.

You'll feel some tightness for a day or two after each new tray. That's the teeth moving. It fades quickly and most patients describe it as mild.

No. Take them out for anything other than water, then brush or rinse before putting them back.
